Preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. and Ina Adkins; daughter, Cynthia Elizabeth Tooley; and three brothers, Blaine, Clyde and James Tooley. Survivors include his wife, Violet Newman Tooley; two sons, C.B. and Charb Tooley; one brother, Collis Tooley; three sisters, Betty Cooper, Erma Adkins, and Vonnee Bernard; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Burial September 4, 2005, in Peaceful Ridge Cemetery, Lavalette.

DIED – SEPTEMBER 2, 2005 ** ANNE M. PLUMMER, 90, of Lavalette, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Born June 19, 1915, in McKees, PA. Preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Anna Luns Kovalik; her husband, Ronald; sisters, Mary, Rose Margaret, and Helen; and brother, John. Survivors include a nephew, Ronald M. Kostic, a great-nephew and niece, and several great-great-nephews and nieces. Burial September 6, 2005, in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington.

DIED – SEPTEMBER 4, 2005 ** CHARLES EDWARD PRATT, 87, of Ceredo. Born September 2, 1918, in Glenhayes, WV. Preceded in death by his parents, Tilden and Mary Wilson Pratt; and wife, Helen Wray Pratt. Survivors include two sons, Joe Pratt and Clarence Pratt; a sister, Ethel Dean; four grandsons; a granddaughter; and eight great-grandchildren. Burial September 6, 2005, in Maple Hill Cemetery in Kenova.

DIED – SEPTEMBER 4, 2005 ** CEYBERTA "PEGGY" NAPIER, 63, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Born July 17, 1942, in Huntington, WV. Preceded in death by her parents, Ceybert J. and Geneva (Adkins) Bias, and one brother, Dell Bias. Survivors include her husband, Albert Napier, Sr.; daughters, Amber Marie Finck and Crystal Lynnette Buxton; son, Albert "Tige" Napier, II; four grandchildren, and a niece. Burial was September 8, 2005, in Newark Memorial Gardens.

DIED – SEPTEMBER 5, 2005 ** MARY ELIZABETH "SIS" PRICE, 88, of South Point, OH, at her residence. Born December 20, 1916, in Fort Gay, WV. Preceded in death by her husband, Fred Price; mother, Vennie Aliff Blodgett Bartram; father, Frank Blodgett; stepfather, Milton Bartram; brothers, Carmi Blodgett and Frank Blodgett, Jr.; and sisters, Anna Mae Treet and Christina Prater Dick. Survivors include her daughter, Patricia "Pat" Daniels; two brothers, Milton J. Bartram and Conrad Allen Bartram; two sisters, Marie Cox and Doris Horan; two granddaughters; one grandson; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Entombment was September 8, 2005, in the Corridor of Faith, Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington.

DIED – SEPTEMBER 6, 2005 ** MARIE V. HAZELETT, 83, of Huntington, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Born February 18, 1922, in Wayne County, WV. Preceded in death by her parents, Abner M. Vicars and Mildred Raines Vicars Jarrell; her husband, Quentin Hazelett; her step-father, James K. Jarrell; and a sister, Madeline Vicars. Survivors include two sons, Roger Hazelett and Terry Hazelett; a brother, Bill Vicars; a sister, Gladys Marsh; step-sisters, Frances Perdue and Kitty Nunley; and several nieces and nephews. Burial was September 10, 2005, in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Wayne County, WV.

DIED – SEPTEMBER 8, 2005 ** EARL CRAFT, 93, of Prichard, WV. Born September 19, 1911, in Prestonsburg, KY. Preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Viola Crabtree Craft; four brothers, Denver, Millard, George, and Willie Craft; and two sisters, Nellie Harmon and Elsie Mooney. Survivors include his wife, Edna Ward Craft; two daughters, Karen Cherylene Adkins, and Valanie Edwards; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Burial was September 11, 2005, in Hatten-Newman Cemetery, Centerville Road, Prichard.

DIED – SEPTEMBER 9, 2005 ** CLINTON DALE FARLEY, 57, of Branchland. Born February 2, 1948, in Robinette, WV. Preceded in death by his father, Cleve Farley; a sister, Lillian Farley and one brother, Thomas D. Farley. Survivors include his mother, Georgia Lee Farley Toppings; his wife, Linda Lou Rose Farley; one step-daughter, Beth Boothe; three sisters, Alice Lawson, Diana Rakes and Brenda Adkins; five brothers, Dallas Farley, Larry Farley, Cleve Farley Jr., George A. Farley, and Anthony D. Craft; one step-brother, William Riley Toppings; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Burial was September 13, 2005, in the Farley Family Cemetery.

DIED – SEPTEMBER 11, 2005 ** CHARLES WESLEY WILLIAMSON, 70, of East Lynn, at the Huntington Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Born September 18, 1934, in Wayne County, WV. Preceded in death by his parents, Hezekiah and Bessie Cordial Williamson; and two sisters, Betty Williamson and Pearl Adkins. Survivors include his wife, Martha Ramey Williamson; two sons, C.K. Williamson and Glen Ray Williamson; three daughters, Charlotte Roy, Hope Hatfield, and Drema Messinger; three brothers, Ray Williamson, Glen Williamson, and Jessie Williamson; three sisters, Lois Vance, Vickie Jackson, and Yvonne Basham; one brother-in-law, Enos Adkins Jr. ; eight grandsons; four granddaughters; and 10 great-grandchildren. Burial was September 14, 2005, in the Pres Friley Cemetery near Cove Gap, WV.

DIED – SEPTEMBER 12, 3005 ** HELEN ORME, 83, of Huntington, at the Cabell Huntington Hospital. Born March 8, 1922, in Lawrence County, OH. Preceded in death by her parents, John Esther and Goldie Bayes Suiter; and her husband, Charles J. Orme. Survivors include sons, John W. Christian, Richard L. Christian, Lewis D. Christian, Jerry L. Christian, David A. Christian, and Frederick M. Christian; daughters, Judy Thomas and Goldie; sisters, Dorothy Peace, Glenna Suiter, Ruth McWilliams, Nancy Simpkins and Edna Clagg; brothers, Frank Suiter, Sam Suiter and John W. Suiter; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Burial was September 15, 2005, in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV.

DIED – SEPTEMBER 12, 2005 ** OPAL TAYLOR MAYNARD, 89, of Huntington, at her residence. Born April 12, 1916, at Wewanta, WV. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lou Pack Taylor; husband, Frank Maynard; two sisters, Mabel Manns and Margie Maynard; and four brothers, James Taylor, Glenn Taylor, Luther Taylor and Joseph Taylor. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Maynard and Bonnie Meade; a son, Carl Maynard; a brother, Frank Taylor; 10 sisters, Betty Webb, Blanche Wiley, Dot Osburn, Gladys Frazier, Mayme Wiley, Anna Lou Bell, Melba Warrall, Regina Johnson, Sandra Wiley, and Donita Campbell; four brothers, Joe Taylor Jr., Elba Taylor, Sam Taylor, and Mark Taylor; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Burial was September 16, 2005, in Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne.

DIED – SEPTEMBER 15, 2005 ** DIXIE EASTHAM STIRN, 84, of Dickinson, TX, at Manorcare Health Center in Webster. Born June 12, 1921, in Kenova, WV. Preceded in death by her parents, Eva Clarkson and Eli Eastham; four sisters: Lexie Opal Eastham, Rose Lykins, Maxine Eastham, and Hazel Hammons; five brothers: Everett Eastham, Russell Eastham, Raymond Eastham, Robert Eastham and Roy Eastham. Survivors include her husband, A. G. "Jerry" Stirn; daughter, Dian Groh; son, Barry Gerald; a sister, Leona Eastham Riggs; and four grandchildren. Memorial services were conducted at First Presbyterian Church in Dickinson, TX, on November 26, 2005.

Survivors include daughters, Teresa Ross and Marie Workman; son, Fred E. Billups Jr.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Burial was September 20, 2005, in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova.

DIED – SEPTEMBER 18, 2005 ** MINNIE A. "MINNIE BELLE" HEABERLIN ROBERTSON, 77, of Prichard. Born April 17, 1928, in Prichard, WV. Preceded in death by her parents, Lindsey and Gladys Hatten Burris; her first husband, Jack Heaberlin; a sister, Margaret Burris and a brother, Loval Burris. Survivors include her second husband, Willard Robertson; a son, Purl "Fox" Heaberlin; two daughters, Kathy Williamson and Vickie Smith; step-daughter, Rhonda Robertson; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jarrett Burris and Ben Burris; and three sisters, Virginia Bentz, Nellie Jordan and Dora Akers. Burial was September 21, 2005, in Davis Cemetery, Prichard, WV.

DIED – SEPTEMBER 19, 2005 ** EVELYN LaVERNE SELLARDS, 90, of Huntington. Born May 1, 1915, in Kenova, WV. Preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mollie Murphy Ball; her husband, Orion James Sellards; a son, Orion "Sonny" Sellards; a sister, Kathleen Lambert; and a brother, Raymond Ball. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Streets and Mollie Barr; three sisters, Margaret Grubb, Sallie Streets, and Tommie Stultz; a daughter-in-law, Mary Sellards; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and 12 nieces and nephews. Burial was September 23, 2005, in Maple Hill Cemetery, Kenova.

DIED – SEPTEMBER 19, 2005 ** GORDON RICHARD "DICK" SMITH. Born March 24, 1937, in Fort Gay, WV. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Corinne Thompson Smith; wife, Rebecca Sue "Becky" Foster Smith; brother, David E. Smith; and niece, Rhonda Kay Smith. Survivors include sons, Steve Martin Smith and Garrett Smith; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Edwin S. Smith; sisters, Peggy S. McQueen and Karen J. Myer; sister-in-law, JoAnn Sword Smith; an uncle, three aunts, and numerous nephews and nieces. Burial was to be at a later date at the Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, Thornville.

DIED – SEPTEMBER 21, 2005 ** TERESA HARSHBARGER, 87, of Huntington, at her residence. Born May 6, 1918, in Wayne County, WV. Preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Peggy Jude Maynard; her first husband, Donald Dean; a son, Harold Dean; four brothers, Paul Maynard, George Maynard, Clifford Wooten and Reid Wooten; and a sister, Virginia Grace. Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Harshbarger; children, Steven Harshbarger., and Dale Dean; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harley Maynard. Burial was September 24, 2005, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Barboursville.

DIED – SEPTEMBER 24, 2005 ** OVA HARMAN WELLMAN, 88, of The Woodlands, Huntington. Born March 28, 1917. Preceded in death by her parents, Asa and Elizabeth Harman; husband, Churchill E. Wellman; sisters, Mary Teter, Josie Mullenex, and Hisel Tandski; and brothers, Blake, Robert, Jonas, Kermit and Ted Harman. Survivors include her children, Peggy Walt, Shirley June Dyas, Dorothy Ann Ison, and Thomas E. Wellman; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. No burial information given.

Preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Minnie Simpson Maynard; husbands, Harold Wellman and Jeff Cyrus; a stepson, Robert Cyrus; and brothers and sisters, Silva, Roy, Grant, Nannie, June, Goldie, Talmage and Donald Frank. Survivors include a sister, Millie Carr; a son, Ronald L. Wellman; a daughter, Glenna F. Kearns; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Don Wellman and Mrs. Lorraine Davis; three stepsons, Billy Joe Cyrus, Scott Cyrus, and Jack Cyrus; 15 step-grandchildren; 28 step-great- grandchildren and six step-great-great-grandchildren. Burial was September 29, 2005, in the Wellman Cemetery, Fort Gay.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Stiltner; four daughters, Albert "Byrd" Lewis, Laura "Turtle" Stiltner, Samantha "Sam" Fields and Melissa "Charlie" Mills; four sisters, Delilah Davis, Georgia Maynard, Alice Adkins, and JoAnn Pierce; seven brothers, Darrell Ross, Howard, Glenn, Gerald, David, Thurel and Kenny Stiltner; four granddaughters, three grandsons, and numerous nephews and nieces. Burial was September 30, 2005, in the Stiltner Family Cemetery.

Wilson, sisters, Louise Newman, Clara Wilson and Dorothy Jean Browning; and a son-in-law, Harold Parsley. Survivors include daughters, Janice Lou Esteppe and Jean Ann Esteppe Maynard; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harry Paul Wilson. Funeral services were October 3, 2005.

Preceded in death by her parents, Millard and Gracie Graham Sexton; first husband, Edward Trenton Berry; three sisters, Ada Roberts, Sarah Adkins and Louise Chinn; and four brothers, Emmett, Buck, Gene and Bill Sexton. Survivors include her husband, Charles "Sam" Parsons; one son, Edward Leroy Berry; three daughters, Lois Berry, Barbara Puffinburger and Doris Wheeler; a sister, Emma Mullins; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Burial was October 3, 2005, in Berry Cemetery, Lavalette.

Survivors include his parents, Auburn and Bertha Hayton Skeens; wife, Gloria G. Flowers Skeens; three sons, Stephen, Noah, and David Skeens; two sisters, Judy Preston and Betty Parsons; one brother, Larry Skeens; and several nieces and nephews. Burial was October 3, 2005, in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Preceded in death by her parents, Lucian and Georgia Farley Manns; and two brothers, Clarence and Challis Manns. Survivors include her husband, Edward Chapman; two sons, Phillip Chapman, and Neal Chapman; two sisters, Dellean Davidson and Sessie Manns; sisters, Martha Brumfield, Mabel Cook, and Glenith Maynard; brothers, Jesse Manns, Donald Manns, Ronald Manns, Wondel Manns; and Glesso "Cokie" Manns; numerous grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
