KENNETH PERRY, 71, of Fort Gay, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, with Elders Roger Maynard and Ivory Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne, where military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 93 of Kenova, WV. He was born on February 18, 1945, at Stiltner, WV, the son of the late Garfield and Myrtle Billups Perry. Kenneth previously worked as a self-employed carpet installer and was a United States Army veteran. He was a member of the Salem United Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Perry; an infant daughter, Denise Gay; brothers Glen and Bernard Perry, and Delbert Napier; and a sister Ethel Collins. Survivors include a daughter, Krystal Adkins (Chuck) of Cornersville, TN; a son, Kenneth D. Perry (Gloria) of Fort Gay, WV; three sisters, Garnett Maynard of Kenova, WV, Bonnie Plybon (Ronnie) of Lavalette, WV, and Rosa Watts (Gallie) of Chesapeake, OH; three brothers, Billy Perry, Alphie Perry (Deloris), and Eugene Napier all of Wayne, WV; eight grandchildren, Austin, Zachary, Dustin, Dillon, Megan, Hailey, Hannah and Helaina; and two great-grandchildren, Addalinn and Ayden. friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Morris funeral Home.

MARTIN PRINCE, Jr., 74, and JUANITA GAIL PRINCE, 72, of Huntington, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016, at their residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Randy Lavender and Pastor Nicholas Lavender. Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova. He was born May 8, 1942, in Cabell County, a son of the late Martin Prince Sr. and Martha Chafin Prince. He was a retired employee of Houdaille Industries and attended the Jackson Avenue Church of God Holiness. She was born March 23, 1944, in Wayne County, a daughter of the late LeRoy Cooper and Margaret Walker. She was a former employee of Cabell Huntington Hospital and Presbyterian Manor, attended Westmoreland Baptist Church and was a faithful caregiver of her brother, Tom Cooper (Walker). Mr. and Mrs. Prince were preceded in death by two sons, David Martin Prince and Ronnie Dale Prince. In addition, Martin was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters, while Juanita was also preceded in death by two brothers. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Hughes (Danny) and Tammy Samson, all of Huntington; one daughter-in-law, Kimberly Prince; eight grandchildren, Daniel Ray Hughes (Sara) of Huntington, Christopher Wyatt Hughes (Kimberly) of Huntington, Renee Lynn Samson of Nitro, W.Va., Deidre Michelle Samson-Jenkins (James) of Genoa, W.Va., Stephanie Jane Samson of Huntington, Joshua David Maynard (Cat) of Charlotte, N.C., Ronnie Dale Prince Jr. of Huntington and Maggie Noel of Florida; seven great-grandchildren, Emalyn Rose Hughes, Amaryllis Bloom Hughes, Madison Paige Hughes, Michael Samson, Marshall Jenkins, Noah Jenkins and Austin Noel; and several nieces and nephews. Additional survivors for Martin include two sisters, Madeline Craft (Jim) of Huntington and Rose Daniel (Wes) of Barboursville, and for Juanita, an aunt, Donna Clere of Colorado. MESHELL LYNN CALDWELL COLEMAN, 40, of East Lynn, W.Va., to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 3, 2016. She was born August 16, 1975 in Lawrence County, Kentucky, the daughter of Judy Harvey of East Lynn, and Roy Caldwell of Wayne, W.Va. Meshell graduated from Wayne High School and studied computer programming at Huntington Junior College of Business. In addition to her parents, she is survived by one son, Benjamen Coleman; one daughter, Haley Coleman, both of East Lynn; two brothers, Obey Caldwell, also of East Lynn, and Adam Caldwell of Wayne; and nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors too numerous to mention. The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2016 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.

THERON RAY FRASHER, 76, of Fort Gay, West Virginia passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wayne, West Virginia. He was born in Fort Gay on January 22, 1940 to the late Theron Endicott and Ruby M. Frasher-Meade. Theron attended the Church of God and previously worked as a Truck Driver. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by two children Beverly Louise Frasher and Kenny Ray Frasher Survivors include two daughters Margaret "Margie" Spaulding of Fort Gay, WV and Fran Dingess of Marrowbone, WV; six grandchildren Mindy Robinson of Chatteroy, WV, Jamie Domosley of Marrowbone, WV, Heather Booth of Louisa, KY, Jeremy Burris, Chris Frasher and Michael Paul Frasher all of Fort Gay, WV; eight great grandchildren Gage, Madison, Donald, Kelsie, Delaney, Dillon, Devon and Chris, Jr.; five siblings Rose Devaney, Paige Morgan, Wanda Pauley and Carl Hutchinson all of Fort Gay and Virginia Conner of Milton; four step siblings Janet Knipp, Tramonia Beavers, Gary Endicott and Roger Endicott all of Florida. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Darren Fetherolf will officiate; burial will follow at the Christian Cemetery in Fort Gay. FRANK LEE HUBBARD, 80, formerly of Ceredo, WV passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian "Joyce" Norris Hubbard and his son, Kenny Tom Hubbard. Frank taught Driver Education for Wayne County Schools for many years and Safety Education classes at Marshall University. He is survived by one son, Terry Lee Smith; a brother and sister-in-law, George (Mary) Hubbard and four grandchildren, Nikki, Cole, Angela and Kendallyn. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at noon with Pastor Roger Perry officiating at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova, WV. WILLIAM HAROLD (WIMPY) COPLEY, 60, of Crum, WV passed away Friday August 5, 2016 at his residence. William, an employee of Norfolk Southern Railroad for over 30 years, was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance Way Union and retired in 2010. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen Jean Copley, parents Dewey and Hazel Copley, brothers Howard Copley, Ralph Copley, and Dewey Copley Jr. Sisters Ula Mae Copley, Virginia Copley, Betty Jean Copley and all grandparents. William departed this world but will never exit the hearts of many. He is survived by daughter Tiffany Marie Copley, of Charleston, WV, Brother Clarence Copley, of Crum, WV, Sister in-law Millie Copley of Columbus, OH, and a host of family and friends that will forever love and miss him. As many are well aware, William never meet a stranger. His time on Earth was spent loving and caring for his wife and daughter. He always seemed to go out of his way to help anyone and had a, one in a million, sized heart. Many memories were shared, and laughter was his priority. Although his passing is heart breaking, his soul is now with his wife, whom he couldn’t live without. He will truly be missed. A Memorial Services will be held on August 20, 2016 at 2:00pm, at the Silver Creek United Baptist Church in Crum, WV. Please come and share your memories and laughter that William left with so many.

ADA PEARL PLYMALE BIBB, 86, of Huntington, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016, at her residence. Ada was born August 17, 1929, in Fort Gay, W.Va., a daughter of the late Ralph and Lyda Raines Plymale. She was a 1946 graduate of Fort Gay High School and was active on the Fort Gay Scholarship Committee. She was a graduate of Clark College in Newton, Miss., and a member of the Fifth Avenue Baptist Church. Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Allen Bibb Jr. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane Bibb Amos (Charles); a precious granddaughter, Sarah Catherine Amos; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard Plymale (Jean) and John Plymale (Lynne); one sister, Adrian Jane Groleau and numerous other family members. Visitation will be Thursday, August 11, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rollins Funeral Home, Kenova. Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. following the visitation with Rev. Kenneth Miller officiating. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. Flowers will be accepted and appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall University Foundation with a designation to the Fort Gay High School Memorial Scholarship, Foundation Hall, 519 John Marshall Drive, Huntington, WV 25703. ETHEL FAYE VANCE, 92, of Kenova, WV passed away on August 6, 2016 at Grayson Assisted Living with her loving niece, Sue Shaw by her side. She was born on February 16, 1924 in Fort Gay, WV; a daughter of William Hargis and Bertha McCoy Hargis. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Elmer Vance; her siblings: Grady, James, Clarence, Reathel "Bill" Hargis and Ruby Gibson; her great nephews, Kent, Tommy and Todd Shaw and Brittany Shaw. Ethel was a beautiful, kind, generous and loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, step-mother, Grannie and good friend to many people. She loved life and enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, entertaining, traveling and dancing. She was a member of the "Twenty Twinkles" and of the Moose Lodge 2586 and Chapter 2223 in Huntington. She owned and operated her own beauty shop for many years. She retired in the mid 1970’s to travel and spend time with her husband, her father and her family here and in Florida. She leaves behind to mourn her loss her step-children, Cynthia Vance Black (Roney) and their children: Ashlee and Christopher and James Michael Vance (Lisa) and their children: Dylan and Dekker Vance; her special nieces, Sue Shaw and Sherry Rowe whom she raised after their parents passed away. Also surviving are her nephews, Bob, Ernie and Paul Hargis and her nieces, Bertha Hager, Lana Donahoe and Bee Johnson; three generations of Shaw and Rowe children who called her "Grannie" and whom she loved as her own grandchildren: Larry (Mary Ann) Rowe, Jeff (Debbie) Rowe and Joschua Rowe, Amy Colangelo and her children, Alex, Zach, Bella and Christopher; Rachel (Greg) Gibson and their children, Ashley and Blake; Stacy (Emory) Wallace and their children, Ethan and Aidan; Mike (Sherry) Rowe and their children, Sarah, Haleigh and Michael Ryan Rowe and his kids, Levi and Keegan. Also, Brett Rowe, Mark (Tawnya) Shaw, Scott (Melissa) Shaw and Megan and Mason Shaw; Renee Shaw and her children, Courtney and Haley and Trinity Shaw. The family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful care she received at Grayson’s Assisted Living. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at noon with visitation one hour prior at Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home. EARL BENTON ROSS, 59, of Kiahsville, W.Va., passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016, at Heritage Center in Huntington, W.Va. Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, W.Va., with Pastor Lonnie Wilson and Rev. Jack Marcum officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery at Wayne. He was born August 2, 1957, at Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Noah and Yvonne French Ross. He was a former mechanic for Maynard's Automotive Service and was a member of the Lincoln Church of God. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, Noah and Martha Ross. Survivors include his wife Jewel Clark Ross; a daughter Tabatha Harper (Dwayne) of Kiahsville; four sisters, Sherry Johnson of Mount Clements, Mich., Victoria Nutt of Belville, Mich., Roxanne Miller of Morrison, Tenn., and Cynthia Oreilly of Wayne, Mich.; three brothers, Anthony Ross of Berlin, Mich., Kenneth Ross of Wyandotte, Mich., and Noah Ross (Christle) of Berlin, Mich.; three grandchildren, Alivia, Xavier and Ryder; and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at Morris Funeral Home.

AVON ELL FRALEY HITCH, 82, of West Columbia, WV, formerly of Kenova, WV, passed away Tuesday August 9, 2016 at Pleasant Valley Hospital, Point Pleasant, WV. She was born June 11, 1934 in Cove Gap, WV, a daughter of the late Charles and Hannah Frasher Fraley. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by four brothers Bernard Fraley, Garland Fraley, Glenn Fraley and Tracey Fraley and three sisters Naomi Cyfers, Joan Hensley and Fay Maynard. Survivors include a son Walter D. Hitch (Dawn) and daughters Sandra Lynn Amolsch (Daniel), Virginia Carol Amolsch (Richard), Charlene Marie Brusca (Alec) and Cindy Gail Herzberg (Gary); fifteen grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; brothers William Fraley (Carrie Alice), C.T. NATASHA LEA ESTEP, 32, of Kenova, W.Va., left this world on Friday, August 12, 2016, at Cabell Huntington Hospital surrounded by her family that loved her dearly. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Randy Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Spring Valley Cemetery. She is survived by her mother, Tina Cornwell and husband Charles, her father, Larry Estep and wife Brenda; one brother, Shawn Johnson and wife Megan; a sister, Leigh Ann Estep and a niece (Aleigha) whom she loved more than anything. Also a loving grandmother, Judy May and special friend Bill Windsor, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was a beautiful person inside and out, and her life was taken way too soon but comfort in knowing she is in her forever home gone from sight but never gone from our hearts.Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at Chapman's Mortuary. JOHN L. MARCUM, 60, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, WV, with Pastor Burley Muncy officiating. Burial will follow at the Sam Damron Cemetery, Dunlow, WV. He was born September 27, 1955, a son of the late Luther and Emma Jean Maynard Marcum. He was a selfemployed roofer, and frequented the Sand Pebble Lounge every day for the last 30 years. He was also preceded in death by sisters Hazel Marcum and Marsha "Pat" Elliott, a daughter, Madonna Marcum and son, Michael Marcum. Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Perry of Louisa, KY; six sons, John Marcum, Jr., Curtis Marcum, Travis Marcum, Benjamin Marcum, and William Marcum, all of Columbus, OH, and Homer Spaulding of Fort Gay, WV; five brothers, Ronnie Marcum, Bobby Marcum, Danny Marcum, and Andy Marcum, all of Columbus, OH, and Roger Marcum of Fort Gay, WV; 24 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. MICHAEL DEWAYNE MARCUM, 40, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Dunlow, West Virginia. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, WV, with Pastor Burley Muncy officiating. Burial will follow at the Sam Damron Cemetery at Dunlow, WV. He was born December 21, 1975 Louisa, KY, a son of Martha Bowens of Columbus, OH and the late John Luther Marcum. He was a construction laborer. A sister, Madonna Marcum, also preceded him in death. Survivors include two daughters, Martha Messer and Danielle Marcum, both of Columbus, OH; three sons, Robert Messer, Michael "Mikey" Messer and Gary Messer, all of Columbus, OH; two sisters, Rebecca Perry of Louisa, KY and Dawn Johnson of Columbus, OH; seven brothers, Homer Spaulding of Fort Gay, WV, Curtis Marcum, Delano Elliott, Travis Marcum, Dylan Johnson, Benjamin Marcum, John L. ROBERT PORTER, 65 of Huntington passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington. Mr. Porter was born on February 11, 1951 in Fort Gay, West Virginia to the late Nebert Nelson and Anita Preston-Porter. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by a niece Elizabeth Ann Porter. He leaves behind a host of family and friends including two daughters Madea McGuire of Huntington and Cassandra Porter of Ft. Myers, Florida; one sister Ernestine (Guy) Griffith of Blue Bell, Pennsylvania; two brothers William (Catherine) Porter and Jonathan (Angela) Porter all of Genoa, West Virginia; two grandsons Alex Locklear and Riley Locklear both of Huntington; four nieces and nephews Jeremiah Porter, Jonita Leigh Griffith, Kayla Moore and Shawn Porter. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tony Perry officiating. Burial followed at the Workman Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday at the Young Funeral Home Chapel after 11:00 am until service time. RALPH DARRELL FRASHER, 69, of Fort Gay, W.Va., passed away on August 14, 2016. He was born on March 2, 1947, in Wayne County, West Virginia, a son of Barney Frasher and Edith Marshall. Ralph was a retiree of ACF Industries and a member of First Church of Big Hurricane. He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Gloria Taylor, Phyllis Featherolf, Bobby Joe Frasher, Dora Ellen Gilkerson, Geneva Rowe, Mamie Casey and Barney Frasher; his brother-in-law, Hartsel Hooser; and his sister-in-law, Sandra Frasher. He leaves behind to mourn his loss his wife of 50 years, Thelma Kimbler Frasher; his children, Drema Dawn O'Dell and Ralph Darrell Frasher Jr. (Teresa); his three grandchildren, Kayla Frasher (Paul Collins), Lakyn Parsons (Andrew) and Jacob O'Dell; his four great-grandchildren, Madison O'Dell, Bryce Parsons, Levi Parsons and Gavin Collins; and his siblings, Vivian Hooser, Pearly Frazier (Joyce), Denver Frasher, Debra Hatten and a host of other relatives and friends. His wishes were to be cremated so Tri-State Cremation Society will perform his cremation and there will be no services. LEE G. SYDENSTRICKER, 99, of Huntington, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016, at Madison Park Nursing Home in Huntington, W.Va. He was born January 21, 1917, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late William and Letha Lewis Sydenstricker. Lee served as head greens superintendent at Spring Valley Country Club from 1946 to 1965. A talented individual, Lee continued his career as a blacksmith and was well-known for his expertise throughout the Tri-State area. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Sydenstricker. Lee is survived by his son, Richard Sydenstricker (Deanna) of Tennessee, and daughter, Peggy Zuliani (Mike) of Florida, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Woodmere Abbey of Remembrance, Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, by Rev. Tim Porter. Burial will follow. JACQUELINE VASS BYARD, 90, of Ceredo, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016, at Heartland of Riverview. She was born March 31, 1926, in Cabell County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Henry Aldrick and Lafavor Belle Been Vass. Jacqueline was a member of the Ceredo United Methodist Church and former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roger Randolph Byard, and two brothers, George Malcolm Vass and Teddy Joe Vass. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Yvonne Akers (Charlie) and Peggy Byard; two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy Byard (Diana) and Scott Byard (Gwen); one brother and sister-in-law, Richard D. Vass (Thelma); seven grandchildren, Kimberly Blankenship (Troy), Chuck Akers (Melanie), Jacqueline (Jayleen) Byard, Miranda Heaberlin (Dr. Brian), Jennifer Larsen (Larry), Scott Byard (Amber) and Amber Porter (Brian); 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, August 18, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova. Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. following the visitation with Pastor Tom Baisden officiating. Interment will be in Spring Valley Memory Gardens. GREGORY WARD, 55, Kermit, West Virginia passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. He was born on March 19, 1961 in Stonecoal, West Virginia to the late Merl and Marcella Spaulding Ward. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Nicholas Merrel Ward and Chris Spaulding. Gregory is survived by three sisters, Carol Due Ward Mollett of Crum, West Virginia, Pam Faris of Narrows, Virginia and Goldie Jude along with one niece, Shawnta Ward and two nephews, Nicholas Ward and Gregory Ward. Funeral services will be held at the Golden Springs Freewill Baptist Church in Stonecoal, West Virginia on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 1:00 pm with Bill Messer and Ken Allen officiating. Burial will follow at the Spaulding Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 starting at 12:00 pm. CHARLES EDWARD HANDLEY, 71, of Wayne, husband of JoAnne Handley, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016, in Cornerstone Hospital, Huntington. Charlie was born November 23, 1944, in Huntington, a son of the late Howard and Mary Louise Davis Handley. One brother, Cecil "Buddy" Samples, also preceded him in death. A brother, James Bradshaw, and a grandson, Jason Todd Clay, also preceded him in death. LEWIS W. ROBERTS, 89, of Prichard, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, following a long illness. Lewis was born June 27, 1927, at Hewlett, W.Va., the son of the late Calvin and Susie Parks Roberts. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Floyd, Percy, Logan, Edward, Harrison, Eunice Sams, Roberta Meredith and Amanda White. Lewis was a loving husband, dad and papaw, who proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a retired material handler at Houdaille Industries and also was a retired Tri-State Airport employee. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. Huntington Lodge #64 and the Big Hurricane Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife and caregiver for 65 years, Martha Hazlett Roberts; a daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Bob Compton, also of Prichard; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Patty Roberts of Wayne; two grandsons, Rob Compton of Ona and Zachary Roberts of Middletown, Conn.; several nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends. Frank was born in Virginia on August 21, 1927, a son of the late Frank Phillip and Irene Watts Olmstead. He was a graduate of Wayne High School. Frank was a member of Buena Vista Masonic Lodge #60 Whites Creek. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served his country at the end of WWII. Frank was a Kentucky Colonel; a member of Beni Kedem of Charleston, W.Va., and Commandry #9. He was an iron worker for more than 69 years and was the last charter member of Ironworkers Local #769 of Ashland, Ky., Frank was a member of the Antique Car Club. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis Elinor Jones Olmstead, to whom he was married for 52 years. He is survived by his wife Margaret "Margie" Lou O'Brian Olmstead; two daughters and sons-in-law, Camille Ann and Michael Dean and Prudence C. and Samuel T. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Bethlehem Church of United Baptist and the American Legion Post #93 whose Honor Guard will conduct graveside rites. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maxine Porter Stump. Survivors include one son, David E. Stump of Kenova; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sharon K. Mayle (Ed) of Fairmont, W.Va., and Teresa L. Keller of Crofton, Md.; six grandchildren, Tonya Brumfield, Tina Malashevich (Billy), Tara Murdock (Jason), Shawn Robinson, Kaitlyn Keller and Allison Stump; and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jason Murdock, Trey Malashevich, Graeson Malashevich, Kaden Brumfield, Jim Crumpler and Shawn Robinson. KATHLEEN HAMMONDS, 58, of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at home. She was born June 15, 1958 in Logan County, W.Va., a daughter of the late William and Roxie Ooten Hensley. Her brother Charley Hensley also preceded her in death along with four sisters, Fannie Bailey, Julie Ooten, Marie Sheppard, and Sophie Sheppard. Kathleen was of the Pentecostal faith and a homemaker. Survivors include her husband Kenneth Hammonds; two sons, Robert Farley of Boone County, W.Va., and Michael (Kendra) Farley of Lovely, Ky.; and six beloved grandchildren, Laylan Farley, Tiffany White, Brooklynn Farley, Curtis Farley, Shawn Mills, and Alex Adkins. Also surviving are two brothers, William (Jerry) Hensley Jr. of Lenore, W.Va., and Peirce (Barb) Sheppard of Columbus, Oh.; one sister Melissa Knotts of Frankfurt, Ky.; and many special nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. MOSEY B. NAPIER, 85, of Ceredo, WV passed away on August 25, 2016. He was born on May 3, 1931 in Wayne County, WV; a son of Mosey B. Napier and Cynthia "Dollie" Skeens Napier. GOLDIE ADKINS of Huntington passed away peacefully on August 28, 2016, at the age of 84. Born Goldie Gladys Chaney on April 25, 1932, in Wayne County, WV, a daughter of the late Leonard and Lilly Chaney. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Cecil Adkins. Together they raised two sons, who they supported and loved unconditionally until their final days. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved to laugh, watch ballgames, and be a bit of a prankster (with a heart of gold). Her ability to show love was her most precious gift to all of us. There are few people in this world who truly touch the hearts of all they meet. Goldie was one of these people and she will be greatly missed by all who loved and adored her. She is survived by her two very grateful sons and their spouses, Gary Adkins and wife Diana and Terry Adkins and wife Melanie; eight grandchildren, Darik Adkins and wife Kara, Jamison Queen and wife Sara, Jessica Adkins Van Arsdale and husband Mark; and Max, Sam, Jack, Tate and Lilly Adkins; seven great-grandchildren, Addison, Brooke, and Cooper Adkins, Will and Laura Queen, and Luke and Jake Van Arsdale. Goldie was the second of four siblings. She is survived by her older brother Newman Chaney and two sisters Hazel Chaney Graves and Delphia Chaney Adkins; and many loving nieces and nephews. Goldie was preceded in death by a granddaughter Laura Lea Queen. Goldie was a 1951 graduate of Wayne High School. She also touched the lives of countless young people and colleagues during her 20-plus years as a Wayne County juvenile probation officer. She was incredibly involved in her community and her church. She was a founding member and Sunday school teacher at Charity United Baptist Church in Huntington, WV. Goldie also volunteered at Cabell-Huntington Hospital and served as a trustee on the Hospital Auxiliary Board. She began volunteering in May 1995, where she worked in the Flower Room, Coffee Cart, and Information Desk. She was a trustee for many years and worked more than 4300 hours in her tenure. She loved to attend the events with the auxiliary at the Greenbrier and Canaan Valley supporting volunteers throughout the state. The family would like to thank her caregivers Linda Webb, Carol Greenless, and Donna Hall for your exceptionally kind and compassionate care. A special thank you to Josh Queen whose care and loyal friendship kept her laughing until the end. And of course, to Wilda Maynard whose daily support, friendship, and prayers comforted Goldie through the most difficult times. Your truly wonderful care will never be forgotten.
