JOHN O'DELL, 79, of Wayne, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018, at the Maple Street Church of God in Kenova, where he attended, with Pastor Greg Tomlinson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Dock's Creek Cemetery. He was born December 12, 1938, in Prichard, W.Va., a son of the late Loran and Cassie Gilkerson O'Dell. John was retired from the General Motors Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nine siblings. Survivors include his beloved wife, Sandra S. O'Dell; four children, John Darrell O'Dell, Patty O'Dell, Nancy O'Dell and Michael Keith O'Dell; three stepchildren, John Fouch (Khristina Shinn), Susan Michelle Hatten (Kenny) and Kevin Lee Fouch; twenty grandchildren; special great-granddaughter, Macci Fouch, and special great-grandson, Joshua Fouch; several nieces, nephews and other family members. POLLY KIMBLE, 87, of Wayne, WV, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Wayne. Polly was born on August 1, 1930 at Wise, Virginia, a daughter of the late Jesse and Lucy Rock Ketchersid. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Willard Kimble; brothers, Henry, Roy, Jesse, and Arnold Ketchersid; and sisters, Juanita Deskins and Ollie Lewis. Survivors include her brother, Frank Ketchersid (Susie) of Chicago, Illinois; two nieces, Olene Campbell (Larry) and Nell Epling (Ronald); great nephew, Evan Francis and great niece, Emily Francis. Olene and Evan were by her side her when she passed. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

CHARLES BERNARD ROBERTSON, 85, of Kenova, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at his residence. Graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Maple Hill Cemetery, Kenova. Charles was born June 3, 1933, in Kenova, a son of the late Mike and Luverna Workman Robertson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles David Robertson, brother, James Robertson, and sister, Lois Robertson. Survivors include his wife, Revia Cisco Robertson, son, John Stephen Robertson, two daughters, Remona Lynn Griffith and Cathy Ann Hustus, and four siblings, Juanita Chaffin, Lorita O'Meara, Mack Robertson and Dreama Klaiber. WILLIAM BRIAN AKERS, 46, of Prichard, WV, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at his residence. Graveside service will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 9, 2018 at Gilkerson Cemetery in Prichard with Brother Roy Akers officiating. He was born July 18, 1971 in Louisa, Ky. son of William Roy and Kathryn J. Bradley Akers of Prichard, WV. He was plant designer for C & I Engineering. In addition to his parents he is survived by one daughter Brittiany M. Akers; one son William B. Akers; two grandchildren Jameson R. STEPHEN PAUL "BUB" AMIS, 37, of Kenova, W.Va.,went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at the England Hill Freewill Baptist Church, Catlettsburg, Ky., by his cousin, Jeremy Carter. Burial will follow in Dock's Creek Cemetery, Maple Hill Section, Kenova, W.Va. He was born October 16, 1980, in Huntington, W.Va., the son of Stephen Ray and Patricia Lynn Eskins Amis of Kenova. He was a physical therapist assistant at the Valley Center, South Charleston, W.Va., and was a former youth pastor at Westmoreland Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Wanda and Paul Eskins and his paternal grandfather Oley Amis. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandmother Betty Lee Amis; a son, Colton Jacob Amis; daughter, Sophia Michelle Amis; sister and brother-in-law, Carrie LaDawn Merritt (Shawn); Nana Becky Whitt and special aunt Pam Carter (Larry); niece, Brynleigh Merritt. PHILLIP R. BOWEN, 66, of Fort Gay, husband of Lorine Bowen, died July 8, 2018 in Three Rivers Medical Center, Louisa, Ky. At his request, there will be no public services. Young Funeral Home is assisting his family.

ALICE MARIE JOHNSON PERDUE, 86, of Ceredo, W.Va., passed away peacefully July 9, 2018, at her home, surrounded by family and friends. She was born August 19, 1931, in Ashland, Ky., to Harvey Eugene and Virgie Catherine Manning Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Stanley Perdue; her precious daughter, Martha Gayle Perdue Gilkerson; and her five sisters, Catherine Louise Johnson, Clara Mae McKenzie, Ruby Jean Johnson, Charlotte Francis Childers and Mary Maxine Sansing. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Joan Lauren and her husband Rupert Charles Robateau; son-in-law, Donald Richard Gilkerson; her brother, Walter Eugene Johnson; her four cherished grandchildren, Lisa Catherine (Joseph) Northup, Erin Elizabeth (David) Rich, Meghan Marie (Nathaniel) Henderson, Zachary Ryan Robateau; six great-grandchildren, Savannah, Judson, Bennett, Cooper, Brooks and Keaton; and 11 nieces and nephews. Many thanks to her special friends, Christy Pancake, Tammy Lucas, Kim Enix, Brenda Marcum and Kitty McDowell. Alice was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, a beloved Sunday school teacher, and will be greatly missed. LARRY DENVER RAYBURN, 72, of Fort Thomas, Ky., passed away Monday, July 9, 2018, in St. Elizabeth Hospital. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Kenova (W.Va.) United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Richards officiating. Interment will follow in Dock's Creek Cemetery, Kenova, W.Va. Larry was born March 5, 1946, in Louisa, Ky., son of the late James Woodrow "Woody" and Annabelle Michael Rayburn. He graduated with an accounting degree from Marshall University. He enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, travel and golf. He was a member of Kenova United Methodist Church and attended Lakeside Christian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John R. Rayburn. Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Rayburn; and was the proud father of Scott Rayburn (Kim), Melissa Hunt (Joe) and Denver Rayburn, and grandchildren, Emily, Ethan and Drew. KATHERN FINLEY MEAD, 84, of Kenova, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at her residence. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, at Rollins Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Branham officiating. Interment will follow the service in Maple Hill Cemetery. She was born September 4, 1933, in Dunlow, W.Va., a daughter of the late Henry and Bertha Adkins Finley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dewey Samuel Mead, and two brothers, James and Nelson Finley. ELOISE SIMPKINS, 89, of Huntington, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, in Heartland of Riverview, South Point, Ohio. Burial will follow in Dock's Creek Cemetery, Maple Hill Section, Kenova, W.Va. Eloise was born on September 11, 1928, in Wayne County, W.Va., to the late Earl and Erie McComas Adkins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Simpkins; a brother, Earl Edward Adkins; and two sisters, Eldred Adkins Thompson and Eithel Adkins. She is survived by her daughter, Roberta (Harold) McKeand; a grandson, Dr. Chris (Christine) McKeand, and two great-grandchildren, Allison and Connor McKeand; a sister, Linda Adkins Ford; and several nieces and nephews. DONALD RICHARD CALTON, 65, of Kenova, W.Va., was united with his Savior Thursday, July 12, 2018. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2018, at First Baptist Church of Kenova, of which he was a member, with Pastor Adam Smith officiating. Interment will follow the service in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East with military rites. Don was born July 1, 1953, in Kankakee, Illinois, a son of the late Eddie Calton and the late Mary Louise Beasley Hite. Don was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired nurse. Survivors include his beloved wife, Mary Ann Price Calton; stepfather, Ron Hite; son, Christopher Calton; two daughters and a son-in-law, Courtney Ballenge (Brett) and Wendy Calton; brother, Wayne Calton; two sisters, Denise Calton and Cindy Dailey; half-brothers, Ricky Schott and Derek Schott; and nine grandchildren. GARNET LUCILLE HALL BERRY, 94, a longtime resident of Huntington and Lavalette, went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on July 13, 2018, in her former home in Lavalette. She was born in Ferguson, W.Va., but lived in Lavalette most of her life. Lucille was the daughter of the late Milton and Birdie Preston Hall. In 1944 she married Nolice Eugene (Gene) Berry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; one granddaughter, Robyn Elaine Vennell; and son-in-law, David Martin. She is survived by two daughters, Dianna Berry Martin and Deborah Berry Vennell Mickle (Mark). She was also survived by her grandchildren, Leann Martin Perault (David), Allyson Martin Evenson (William), Jonathan Martin, Chad Mickle (Bianka), and four great-grandchildren, Alex Evenson, Tye Perault, Aurora Mickle and Nicholas Mickle. Most of her siblings have preceded her in death: Irene Gibson, Pauline Adkins, Hazel Owens, Erma Womeldorf, Charlotte Kelley and Tom Hall. Helen Hall was her only surviving sibling. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own. She was a member of Prince of Peace Freewill Baptist Church for over 45 years. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 17, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Reger Funeral Home. A memorial service will be conducted by Steve Berry in the Reger Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. Tuesday, with a procession to Mays Cemetery in Lavalette immediately following the service. DORIS JEAN BOOTH CHRISTIAN, 88, of Prichard, passed away Friday, July 13, 2018, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington. Funeral Services will be conducted at noon Monday, July 16, 2018, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Hatton Cemetery, Prichard. She was born November 22, 1929, in Wayne, a daughter of the late George Booth and Bertha Dyer-Booth Rutherford. Doris retired after 32 years of service at the Huntington Publishing Company as a Teletype Operator. She is survived by two sons, Danny L. Christian (Janice) of Prichard and Aaron Christian of Kenova; two sisters, Evelyn Massie (John) of Wayne and Cora Lee Lykins of Huntington; three grandchildren, Amber Nicole Christian, Amanda Danielle Christian and Seth Daniel Christian; three great-grandchildren, Memphis Rayne Christian, Brooklynn Rose Christian and A.J. Christian; a special friend, Glenna Christian. Visitation will be held one hour prior to funeral services at Morris Funeral Home, Wayne.

SABRINA RENEE MAYNARD, 40, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 at Cabell Huntington Hospital surrounded by loved ones. She was born August 15, 1977 and was a homemaker. Her grandmother, Barbara Pack preceded her in death. She leaves behind her mother, Theresa Maynard of Huntington, W.Va.; her children, Anthony (Jesseca) Bradley of Wayne, Cassie Robertson, Nicole Faith Robertson, both of Westmoreland, W.Va., and Aurgrey Hope; and many friends. LANDON LEE WATTS, 53, of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on July 13, 2018. He was born February 1, 1965 in Lincoln County, West Virginia, a son of the late Ersie and Len Watts. Survivors include his sister, Yantie (Ira B.) Adkins of Wayne; and two brothers Randy Watts of Dingess, W.Va., and Timothy Watts also of Wayne. Private burial will be held for the family. BETTY JEAN BRITT of Ceredo Kenova, W.Va., went to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Cabell Huntington, Hospital. She was born Oct. 14, 1925, in Wayne County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Welzie and Hazel Peters. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George "Doc" Britt, who has been waiting 26 years to reunite with her, and her brother Paul R. Peters. She was a retired seamstress from Corbin Ltd., and a homemaker. She was also a faithful member of Kellogg Independent Holiness Church of God. Betty is survived by a brother, Glen Peters; two sons, Bill (Rosie) Britt and Mike (Sheree) Britt; four grandchildren, Tracey (Butch) Burriss, Joshua (Jodi) Britt, Karri (Sara) Shultz-Britt and Katie (Ronnie) Smith. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren (four more on the way); a sister-in-law (more like a sister) Donna Britt; and very special friends, Debra Lear and Bonnie Atkisson. Betty was the matriarch of the Britt family and loved each and every one of them unconditionally. She was always quick to greet you with a smile, and her joy and laughter lit up the room. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who never missed a birthday, holiday or special event. She was an unbelievably strong woman, a devout Christian and someone you could always count on.Her greatest wish was for all of her loved ones to join her in Heaven one day. BETTIE LEWIS, 75, of Kenova, died July 15, 2018 in Ashland Community Hospice. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Kenova Church of Christ; burial in Dock's Creek Cemetery, Kenova. ELDER WAYNE HERALD JR., 84 of South Point, Ohio, formerly of Jennies Creek, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 15, 2018, in Emogene Dolin Hospice House, Huntington, W.Va. He was born on July 1, 1934, on Jennies Creek, W.Va.; a son of the late Wayne Herald Sr., and Edna Marie Corns Herald. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Edna Marie Herold, as well as brothers Edward and Carl Herald, as well as a man like a brother, Ronnie Asbury. Wayne was a worker of Borden Chemical Company, a coal miner, and worked in the motor vehicle industry. Brother Wayne was an Elder at the Buck Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. Brother Wayne is survived by his wife, Sara Isabell Brown Herald of South Point, Ohio; sons Ronnie (Tamara) Herald of Lenore, W.Va., Carlton (Mellisa) Herald of Lewis Center, Ohio; daughter Doris (Richard) Ross of Wayne, W.Va.; as well as seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Wayne also leaves behind his sisters, Doris Asbury of Kermit, W.Va., and Lois (Leon) Justice of Crum, W.Va. He also leaves behind a special friend, Carl Kirk of Lenore, W.Va. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at Mullins Family Funeral Home, Warfield, Ky., with Elders Tom Dials, Albert Cable, and Arthur May officiating. Burial will follow in Asbury Cemetery, Dunlow, W.Va., with Brother Denny Brown performing the committal service. "PINKY" EDNA ROXIE JOHNSTON WILLIS HUTCHINSON, 93, of Kenova, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018, in St. Mary's Medical Center. Graveside funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2018, at Dock's Creek Cemetery, Kenova, W.Va., with Pastor Scott Byard officiating. Edna was born July 20, 1924, in Fullerton, Ky., a daughter of the late Aubrey and Verna Marie Bamrick Johnston. She was the former owner and operator of Christa Lynn Florist. She has been a resident of Heartland of Riverview Nursing Home in South Point, Ohio, for the past 10 years. Pinky was loved by all and never had a bad word to say about anyone. She was very creative and loved to work with pottery and loved to share her life with people. Pinky loved to work jigsaw puzzles and always had one going on the kitchen table. She was generous and kind always. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Don Willis; second husband, Don Hutchinson; one daughter, Marty Hartman; two sisters, Judy McKelvey and Virginia Jacobs; and one brother, Jack Johnston. Survivors include two daughters, Shadow Mariah Lighthorse and Alma "Tooie" Perkins; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three nieces, Deborah Chinn, Linda Dick and GiGi McKelvey; and nephews. OKEY JAMES NAPIER, JR., 51, of Huntington, WV, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at his residence. He was born on January 10, 1967, at Huntington, WV, a son of Okey James Napier and Dwana Sue Duncan of Wayne, WV. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mosie and Betty Napier; and his maternal grandparents, Walter and June Edmunds. He was a 1985 graduate of Wayne High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Basic Humanities and a Master’s degree in Sociology from Marshall University. He was currently enrolled in the Masters of Fine Arts program in Creative Writing at West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, WV. Okey was a faculty member at Marshall University, Mount West Community and Technical College and Ohio University Southern Campus, where he taught sociology. He previously worked for the Red Cross in Huntington, WV and Delaware, and had worked for the Huntington Housing Commission, Safe Harbor Domestic Violence Shelter and the Marshall University Psychology Department. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Samuel M. Napier and wife Terri Lynn and their son, Okey Samual, Daniel Lee Napier and wife Crystal, and their daughters, Natasha and Nerissa, all of Wayne; his aunts Brenda S. Napier, Joyce Stevenson and husband, Darrel; an uncle, John Duncan and wife, Sandi; along with numerous cousins as well as many collegues and friends all over the world. A memorial service will be held at B’Nai Shalom Temple in Huntington at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 29, 2018 with Rabbi Jean Eglinton presiding. There will be a reception following in the social hall for friends and family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Okey J. SHIRLEY GLENNA THOMPSON PETERS, 86, of Hurricane, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, WV, with Minister Doug Minton officiating. Burial will follow at the Thompson Cemetery, Genoa. She was born on November 17, 1931, at Genoa, WV, a daughter of the late Roy Thompson and Maude Ruthford Thompson. Shirley was a member of Hurricane Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Peters; sons, Darrell Ray Peters and Jamie Gene Peters. Survivors include her daughter, Sondra Lee Peters Rice of Hurricane, WV; son, Glenn Edward Peters of Richlands, NC; brother, Roy Thompson, Jr. of Genoa, WV; grandchildren, Michelle Saunders, April Peters, Desirae Shafer, Trinity Rice, Sr., Jeramy Rice, Glennda Peters, Samantha Herrel, and Jamie Lee Peters; and 17 great-grandchildren. LESTER WARD, 95, of Louisa, Ky., passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018, at King's Daughters Medical Center. Memorial service will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Catalpa Freewill Baptist Church, Louisa, Ky., with Pastor Mike Cox officiating. Lester was born December 23, 1922, in Wayne County, W.Va., a son of the late Lindsay and Myrtle Plymale Ward. He was a retired press operator with Houdaille Industries and a veteran, having served in the Army during WWII. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ellen Pemberton Ward; five brothers; two sisters; and a special niece, Sharon Rickman. NILA MIKALENE CLARK SMITH, 81, of Wayne, W.Va. went to be with the Lord Friday July 20, 2018 at Hickory Creek of Athens, Ohio. She was born March 1, 1937 at East Lynn, W.Va., a daughter of the late Lee and Nila Clark. Her brothers Bobby Clark and Abby Clark also preceded her in death. Nila was baptized at Laurel Creek Freewill Baptist Church and had a deep faith in her Lord. Survivors include three sons, Bill (Crystal) Smith of Lavalette, W.Va., Jim (Cheryl) Smith of Huntington, W.Va., and Tom (Melinda) Smith of Lavalette; one daughter, Amy Smith of Wayne; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Naomi Clark of Wayne; one brother Billy Clark of Lavalette; and her lifelong companion, Donald Talbert. HAZEL ADELE McQUINN BILLUPS, 83, of Ceredo, W.Va., passed away Monday, July 23, 2018, at her residence. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2018, at First Baptist Church of Ceredo, of which she was a member, with Pastor Rodney Hale and Pastor Scott Byard officiating. Hazel was born November 29, 1934, in Kenova, W.Va., a daughter of the late Bernard D. and Pearl Carie Chadwick McQuinn. She was a retired training supervisor with C&P Telephone. She enjoyed going to the beach with friends "Golden Girls," lunch with co-workers and playing bingo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clyde Arthur Billups; son, Kenneth Earl Billups; and sister, Jill Dolin. Survivors include a cherished son and daughter-in-law, Tony Billups (Melissa); one sister, Gloria Ann Looney; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim Billups (Pat), and two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Judy Akers (Gary) and Beverly Billups; two grandchildren, Dalton and Whitley Hundley; three great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Avery and Ayden Hundley; two godchildren, Dria and Shooter Parker; and several nieces and nephews. DAVID MONROE WALLACE, 53, of Wayne, West Virginia, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018, at his residence. He was born July 26, 1964, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of Jakie and Darlene Napier Wallace of Wayne. He was employed as a construction laborer for Triton Construction Co. and was a member of Laborers Local 543 of Huntington, W.Va., and Salem United Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Billy Wallace and wife Jill of Wayne, W.Va.; two nephews, Troy Wallace (Sammie), Cody Wallace (Kelsey); and special friends, Edwina Fry Wallace and her children Bradley and Chandler Fry. EMILE MARIE HARBOUR, 92, of Kenova, W.Va., died on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. She was healthy, active and enjoying her home and garden until the end. Emile was born in 1926, the only child to Emil and Mary Frycke of Hazelton, Pa. Her parents were first-generation children of Slovakian immigrants who passed through Ellis Island in the late 1800s. She lived with her extended family who worked in the textile mills and housed workers from nearby coal mines. Emile graduated high school after Pearl Harbor, so she was inspired to join the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps during World War II. She moved to New York City to attend Bellevue School of Nursing, part of New York University's College of Medicine. After the war, Emile's career took her to various hospitals in New York, Pennsylvania and Michigan. She did not marry until her mid-30s. She enjoyed a glamorous single life and told stories of going to Harlem's Cotton Club, meeting artists and fashion designers, attending Broadway shows and traveling to Europe and to Mexico with her friends. In 1959, Emile transferred to Mount Alto Veterans Hospital in Washington, D.C. She met her husband, Shelby. In 1965, Emile retired from the VA when she became pregnant, and the couple settled in Rockville, Md., with their new baby, Kimberly. Shelby's older children, Jan and Diana, visited often. In 1977, Emile and Shelby retired to a home on two acres in Kenova, W.Va. The couple were devoted companions, enjoying a 50-year marriage of playing Scrabble, shopping, gardening, cooking and traveling (including to China!) After Shelby's death, Emile remained active. She valued education and the arts. She was an avid reader of mysteries and thrillers, writing reviews for the West Huntington Library. She loved listening to Broadway tunes. Emile attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church for more than 40 years, where her parish friends sustained her. Emile's immediate family includes her daughter, Kimberly Harbour and Kim's husband Kris Hall of Hurricane, W.Va.; Emile's stepson, Jan Harbour and his wife Linda of Huntington, and her stepdaughter, Diana Ehlich and her husband Scott of Forest, Va. Emile had six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, most of whom live in the Huntington area. Funeral Liturgy are planned for 10 a.m. on Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Doug Ondeck, followed by the Rite of Committal at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville, W.Va. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday evening, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Refreshments will be in the parish hall. Emily was a homemaker and formerly worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Webb; brothers, Vernon, Edgar, Fred, Edmond, Alfred, Lindsey and Harold; sisters, Edna Clay, Zora Jones, and Helen Hayton; son-in-law, Stephen Sowder; and two grandsons, Steven and Brett Webb. Survivors include two daughters, Janice Perdue (Harold) of Shoals, WV, June Sowder of Huntington, WV; two sons, Jimmie Webb (Bobbye) of Crystal Springs, Mississippi and Jerry Webb (Betty) of Lavalette, WV; grandchildren, Cherai Stapleton, Russell Perdue, Seana Eck (Robert), Stephanie Sowder, Gregory Sowder, Frankie Jolley, Myron Webb, Brian Webb (Debbie), and Brent Webb (Sherri), 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren. JOSEPH WORTH TONEY, 33, of Ft. Gay, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Three Rivers Medical Center, Louisa, Kentucky. Born February 27, 1985 in Logan County, West Virginia, Joseph was a welder employed with Okuno International, Prichard. He enjoyed helping others and assisting in the Cabwaylingo Forest Foundation. His mother, Lovetta Browning preceded him in death, along with one brother, Daniel Stewart, and infant nephew, Joshua Caleb Toney. He leaves behind his loving wife, Vanessa Toney; three children, Breanna Kay, Seth, and Cody Thomason, of Blackwell, OK; and his foster parents who raised him to be the man he was, Paul and Sylbia Starbird, of Dunlow, W.Va. Also surviving are eight brothers and sisters: twin brother Joshua (Vanessa) Toney of Dunlow, Lawrence (Karen) Toney of Wilsondale, WV, David (Trish) Stewart of Barboursville, WV, Elizabeth Toney of Oceana, WV, Francis Allen (Jessica) Jackson of Lexington, KY, Eric Starbird of Dunlow, Nathan Starbird of North Carolina, and Amanda Starbird (Gary Stevenson); and nieces, nephews, family and friends too numerous to mention. CHRISTOPHER F. "FRANK" McCANN, 85, of Lavalette, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. He was born November 3, 1932, at Fort Gay, W.Va., a son of the late Homer and Ada McCann. His loving wife of 57 years, Loretta McCann, also preceded him in death, along with one son, Mike McCann, one brother, Wray McCann, one sister, Wilma Payne, one granddaughter, Stephanie McCann, and two great-granddaughters, Makayla Toppings and Haily Bender. Frank was a retired industrial maintenance/welder from Shell Oil Chemical Division and attended Truth Independent Baptist Church in Lavalette. He leaves behind one son, Christopher F. (Tonya) McCann II of Rush, Ky.; two daughters, Marla McCann of Lavalette and Kristi (Randy) Hornsby of Travelers Rest, S.C.; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of friends and family. WILLIAM RONALD NAPIER JR., "Billy," 43, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, from injuries sustained in an accident on July 14, 2018. Billy was born February 18, 1975, in Huntington, W.Va. He graduated from Wayne High School and Marshall University. He was a resident of Wake Forest, N.C. He was employed as an IT Project Manager for Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas since July 2016, and worked at St. Mary's Medical Center for 16 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, kayaking, and biking. He was a true Marshall football fan. His love for his family was unwavering. He is survived by his wife Sandra; three daughters, Miranda, Taylor and Kristin; his brother Andrew; mother Betty; and his puppy Ruby. He is also survived by a niece, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, William Napier, grandparents Lester and Winona Haynes, and Irene Napier. Visitation will be held Friday, August 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Proctorville, Ohio, with a brief service from 7:30 to 8 p.m.; Pastor Jeff Black will officiate. ROGER DALE BELLOMY, 72, of Kenova, W.Va., was reunited with his wife, Lou, of 43 years, Friday, July 27, 2018. Graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Bean Cemetery off of Centerville Road in Prichard, W.Va., with Pastor Scott Byard officiating. Roger was born March 29, 1946, in Prichard, W.Va., a son of the late Clarence and Ruby Davis Bellomy. He was a graduate of Fort Gay High School, retired from U.S. Airways and was a bus driver for the Wayne County School System. Most importantly, he was a loving Gramps to his six grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Kyle and his wife Amy, Missy and husband Todd, all of Prichard, W.Va., Chad and wife Jamie of Chesapeake, Ohio; grandchildren, Shelby and Lindsey Bellomy, Tyler and Brooke Smith, of Prichard, W.Va., and Mackie and Felicity Bellomy of Chesapeake, Ohio. He is also survived by sisters, Mildred Smith (Mike), Genevieve Cyrus, Karen Ferguson (Wally), Debbie Akers (Don); and a special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carole and Bob Wellman. A special thank you is extended to the staff of the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center for the love and care that was given for the past two years. MS. HAZEL DAMRON, 71, of Louisa, KY died Saturday, July 28, 2018 at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. Hazel was born August 23, 1946 to the late Charlie and Risba Ham. She was a member of the Louisa Freewill Baptist Church. She loved her church and her church family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Damron; granddaughter Haley Damron; sisters Tennie Faye Ham and Virginia Sue Ham; and brothers Issac Monterville Ham and Charles David Ham. Survivors include her son and daughter in law Clifford and Carolyn L. Damron; granddaughter Jerri Brianna Damron; and sisters Roxie Garnett Little and Anna Roberts. CHARLES S. WILSON, 67, of Kenova, W.Va., passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on July 31, 2018. He was born Feb. 6, 1951, in Genoa, W.Va., to Dee Wilson and Irene Thompson Wilson. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Tampa Wilson and Janice Ball. Charles leaves behind to mourn his loss, his loving wife of 45 years, Pamela Sue Cvetnich Wilson; his daughter, Robin Elisa Wilson-Crader; his son, Charles Dee Wilson; his grandson, Johnathan Crader.
