THOMAS DAVID MARCUM, 76, of Fort Gay, WV left the confines of his earthly home to be with those whom had gone on before, surrounded by his loving wife, his four children and his youngest brother. David was born march 17, 1942 in Williamson, WV the second of three sons of Harmon Marcum and Blanche Varney Marcum. He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved oldest grandson Joey Farra. He leaves behind his loving wife of nearly 53 years, Lotus Bellomy Marcum, his daughters Deadra Marcum Thompson of Fort Gay, WV, and Ella Farra (Curtis Mosley) of Fort Gay,WV., his son Eddie and Louise Marcum of Fort Gay, WV, a son, David Marcum (Sonia) of Asheboro, NC. Also left behind is his oldest brother, William Everett Marcum of London, OH and his youngest brother, Charles Franklin Marcum of Fort Gay, WV. David leaves behind eleven grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his direct family he leaves behind three sisters in law that loved him dearly; Ms. Bonnie Bellomy Smith, Mrs. Judy Bellomy Jarrel and Mrs. Diane Bellomy Hill. David was loved by all who knew him and he loved everyone. He was a member, Deacon and Trustee of the Community Chapel Church of Big Hurricane Creek where he and his wife were married. He enjoyed hunting and all sorts of outdoor activities as well as singing and worshiping God. He will be missed by all who knew him but we take comfort in knowing that he is resting in the arms of Jesus. Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home has been entrusted with his care. A memorial service will be held Thursday April 5, 2018 at 3 P.M. at Community Chapel Church of Big Hurricane with Pastor Robby Smith officiating. Special singing by Carla Copley. BRIAN KEITH NAPIER, 58, of Garrett Fork, W.Va., son of Jack and Elaine Napier of Garrett Fork, died April 1, 2018. At his request, there will be no services. Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Chapmanville, W.Va., is in charge of arrangements.

HARRY ENDICOTT, 84, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Harry was born August 7, 1933, in Kenova, W.Va., a son of the late Ben and Gustavia Cooper Endicott. He retired as Water Supervisor from the City of Kenova. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters and a daughter, Yvette Endicott. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Angela Ward (Jack); one son and daughter-in-law, Tony Endicott (Pam); Yvette's life partner, Kim Cumm; four sisters; a special brother, Richard Endicott; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Rollins Funeral Home, Kenova, W.Va. There will be no services. Interment will be in Catlettsburg (Ky.) Cemetery.

JEFFERY DALE MALCOLM, age 55, was found deceased at his home in Alexandria, Va., on April 3, 2018. He was born on May 29, 1962, in Chapel Hill, N.C., to Mollie Jane Sellards Barr and the late Ronald Lee Malcolm. Jeff received a BS in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Colorado. He was employed by the Government Accountability Office (GAO), starting July 3, 1988. During his almost 30-year career, Jeff led a pivotal body of work that improved oversight of the federal government's responsibilities to Indian tribes and an array of programs benefiting Native Americans. Jeff was the GAO's assistant director in charge of Native American and federal lands issues since 2002. In addition to receiving many of the GAO's top honors, Jeff leaves a service legacy as friend, co-worker and mentor who will be greatly missed by his peers. Jeff was an active member of the Falls Church, Va., Church of Christ, and will be remembered for his love of travel, his love of family, his kind spirit and his generosity. Jeff was the beloved son of Mollie Jane Sellards Barr and her husband Warren E. Barr of Lavalette, W.Va.; loving brother of Gregory Lee Malcolm and his wife Dawn of St. Louis, Mo., Susan Jane Williams and her husband Jack of Reading, Pa., and Janet Elene Bathurst and her husband Bill of Arvada, Colo. Jeff was the proud Uncle of Andrea, Kendall, Christopher, Robin, Russell and April. Jeff is also survived by his treasured extended family members in West Virginia. A private memorial will be held in Washington, D.C., and a public memorial for friends and family will be held Sunday, April 22, at 1:30 p.m. at the 5th Street Church of Christ, 2402 5th Street Road, Huntington, WV 25701. EDWARD JACKSON, 65, of Ft. Gay, W.Va., went home to be with friends Tuesday, April 3, 2018. He was born June 12, 1952 at Genoa, W.Va. a son of the late Arnold and Hazel Jackson. His son Edward Allen Jackson also preceded him in death along with one sister, Barbara Smith, and one sister-in-law, Lucille Jackson. He leaves behind three daughters, Kimberly Carter of Dunlow, W.Va., Barbara Jackson of Columbus, Oh., and Deanna Jackson of Indiana; one son, Shawn Carter of Wayne; and three grandchildren. Also surviving are six sisters, Rachel Jackson (Doug Bartram) of Ft. Gay, Debra (Crit) Cassady, of Ft. Gay, Pauline (David) Perkins of Huntington, W.Va., Carolyn Jackson of Ft. Gay, Tammy Laney (James Toppins) of West Salem, Oh., and Juanita Gatchel of Wabash, Ind.; two brothers, James Jackson of Genoa, and Arlin Jackson of Huntington; and many nieces, nephews, and friends, Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Bartram Copley Cemetery with Pastor Charlie Maynard officiating. It is with great sadness that the family of KERMA DANIELLE McGOWAN announces her passing on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the age of 39. Danielle will be lovingly remembered and missed by her two sons, whom she loved and cherished dearly, David and Kerman McGowan, her loving parents, Danny and Arletta McGowan and her brother Danny McGowan Jr. (Michelle Sledd), grandmother Beulah McGowan Cline (her sidekick). Danielle will also be fondly remembered and missed by her nephews Zachary, Taylor and Tucker McGowan, Noah O'Neal and Zach Flemmings, a special Aunt Kerma (Eddie) Smith, Aunts: Janeen Black, Laura (Harold) Miller, Ethel (Dallas) Honaker, Uncles: Phil Elliott, Harvey (Sheila) Marc, Thomas (Karen) and Gary (Connie) McGowan and a host of cousins, family and friends. Danielle was predeceased by her dearly missed Grandmother Mary Martha Elliott (Mammy), Grandfather Kerman Elliott, and Grandfather Harvey Andrew McGowan Sr. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne with Pastor Ken Toler officiating. AMY OPAL STELE BLANKENSHIP, 59, of Wayne, WV, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Samuel Steele and Jeremiah Williamson officiating. She was born on May 22, 1958 in Frankfort, KY, a daughter of the late George Steele and Opal Stamper Steele. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, George Jr., Gary, Wendell, and Mont. Survivors include three daughters, Rebecca Mack (Lowell) of Navarre, Florida, Joeh Lester (William) of Wayne, and Melissa Lester (partner Kris) of Wayne; one son, Zachary Gunter (Trinity) of Rocky Top, Tennessee; her longtime companion, Roy Holland; three sisters, Polly Bado (Kenneth) of Lorain, Ohio, Fannie Tackett (Joe) of Ft. Gay, Cindy Tackett (Bill) of Grafton, Ohio; one brother, Jim Steele (Gail) of Phoenix, Arizona; 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

MYRTLE FAY FLINT, 83, of Wayne, W.Va., went to sleep in Christ on Thursday, April 5, 2018. She was born April 4, 1935 at Logan, W.Va., a daughter of the late Tracy and Anna Belle Pack. Also preceding her in death were her twin brother, infant siblings Betty and Larry, and brothers and sisters, Wanda Jean Pack, Nancy Pack, Dorkis Marshall, Wilkie Pack, and L.C. Pack; and her daughter-in-law, Alberta Flint. Myrtle was a housewife and a devoted caregiver to many family members, and also, a member of Echo United Baptist Church. She leaves behind her husband, Bill Flint; one son, Kevin Flint (Missie Adkins) of Wayne; grandchildren, Chasiti (Dustin) Ervin of Lavalette, W.Va., and Cala (Tony) Clay of Wayne; and one great grandchild, Bennett Ervin. Also surviving is one brother, Delbert (Wanda) Pack; one sister, Maltie Javins; one brother-in-law, Gene Marshall; one sister-in-law, Sharrie Pack, all of Wayne; special cousin Veda Maynard of St. Albans, W.Va.,; and nieces, nephews, friends, and family too numerous to mention. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2018 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Elders Tony Clay and Roger Maynard officiating. Burial will follow at Greasy Ridge Cemetery. SONDRA LAVERNE CLAY HEWLETT, 75, of Kenova, passed away Friday April 6, 2018 at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. She was born February 7, 1943 in Jackson, Ohio, a daughter of the late Elijah Herbert and Lena Swanson Burton Clay. Sondra was a homemaker who worked hard to care for her family. She was a member of the 20th Street Baptist Church. In addition to her parents Sondra was preceded in death by her husband, Paul G. Hewlett; a grandson, Paul Alexander Hewlett and three brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Pelfrey of Kenova and Susan Anderson of Huntington; six grandchildren: Heather and Shane Pelfrey of Kenova, Alissa Hewlett, Brittany Hewlett, Cecilee Anderson and Taylor Anderson, all of Huntington; six great-grandchildren: Elexus, James, Damara, Presley, Cecil and Kyleigh; one sister, Carolyn Nester of Kenova; two brothers, Denny Clay of Lexington, Ky., and Larry Clay of Defiance, Ohio; a special caregiver, Diana Skaggs; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Rollins Funeral Home with her nephew, the Rev. James Hodge officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service. EDWARD FRANCIS (CHAD) CHADWICK, 83, passed away on April 6, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. Edward was born on April 13th, 1934 in Kenova, to the late Herbert Bruce Chadwick and Dorothy Nunley Best. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Lois Jean Marrow and is survived by sisters, Brucella Wandling of Pt. Pleasant, W.Va., and Paula (Rick) Sullivan of Pt. Pleasant, W.Va. He is also survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley Chadwick, as well as daughters, Debra (Rod) Dingess of Statesville, N.C.; Gail (Steve) Daniel of Lexington, Ky.; son, Edward (Melissa) Chadwick of Franklin, Tenn.; daughter, Jane (Gary) Humphrey of Holly Springs, N.C.; son, Chris (Toni) Chadwick, of Huntington; daughter, Robin (Jeff) Elliott of Asheville, N.C.; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. "Ed" or "Chad" as he was often called, graduated from Ceredo-Kenova High School in 1952 and joined the military on August 6th of 1952. He served as a fire control technician aboard the Naval Destroyer USS Bristol DD857 during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged in August of 1956. He continued to serve an additional four years in the naval reserve and was actively involved in their annual reunions. He was also an active member of the American Legion Post #93. Upon his discharge, he returned to the Huntington area, where he attended Marshall University and started a television repair shop. He was employed by the Huntington Publishing Company from 1956 B 1964. From there, he advanced to Publisher, Managing Editor and part owner of the Wayne County News from 1963 B 1988. In addition to his responsibility of the Wayne County News, he was the founder of the Tri-State Shoppers Guide, and was responsible for a number of publications including, the Marshall University Parthenon and over 20 weekly publications throughout West Virginia. He was an active member of the WV Press Association, serving numerous roles including President in 1982. In 1999, he was awarded the Adam R. Kelly Premier Journalist Award, which is the most prestigious award presented by the West Virginia Press Association. In 2002, after more than 40 years of active service as an officer or board member for the WV Press Association, he stepped down as President of the WV Press Association Foundation. As a charter member of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, he was instrumental in the purchase of the WV Press headquarters building. In recognition of his lifetime service, the trustees voted to name the building in his honor, The Edward F. Chadwick Newspaper Center at 3422 Pennsylvania Ave. in Charleston, W.Va. He was also one of the original founders of the Lavalette State Bank and served on the Board of Directors. He was President of MCM Land Company and developer of the Twin Valley Estates and North Maywood Heights subdivisions. Throughout his retirement, he took great interest in woodworking and developed a high level of expertise creating and designing custom made furniture for family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to garden, hunt and fish. Each and every year for over 50 years he spent time hunting and fishing the mountains of eastern West Virginia. With his active involvement and dedication to numerous business and community organizations, he developed an amazing circle of friends throughout the Tri-State area and was so giving to others. He was a devoted husband and father, who treasured his family and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a pillar of Wayne County, the local Huntington and West Virginia State communities and he will be forever missed. The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to all the staff at Hospice of Huntington and caregiver Raymond Aliff of Kenova for their kindness. Contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 5-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10th, at Reger Funeral Home, followed by the praying of the Rosary. The Funeral Liturgy, officiated by the Reverend Charles McGinnis, will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11th, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, followed by interment at Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova. ZETTA LORRAINE BROWNING, 90 years old, of Barboursville, went to her Heavenly home to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 7, 2018. She was born August 23, 1927, in Barboursville, a daughter of the late Carl and Ruby Dillon Hatfield of Barboursville. She graduated from Barboursville High School and after graduation went to work for the FBI in Washington, D.C. She was a store manager for Sears Roebuck & Co. in Huntington and St. Clairsville, Ohio. She was a member of Christ Temple Church in Huntington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Browning of Barboursville, and one son, Jack E. Browning II. She is survived by three children, Teresa Ferguson-Crossan (Emerson) of Huntington, Gloria Jean Browning Thompson (Earl) of Louisville, Ky., and Charles Browning (Diane) of Huntington; grandchildren, Tootie Ferguson-Robinson (Jeremy) of Huntington, Daniel Ferguson of Huntington, Matthew Thompson (Joelle Martinec) of Los Angeles, Calif., Noel Moore (Patrick) of Lexington, Ky., Jack E. Browning III of Santa Monica, Calif., and Chris Enix of Prichard, W.Va.; great-grandchildren, Trenton, Dylan and Gavin Enix of Prichard, W.Va., and Riley Harper Thompson of Los Angeles, Calif.; brother, Bill (Anna) Hatfield of Huntington; and two sisters-in-law, Betty Kay Wentz and EmmaLee Browning. DELORES VIRGINIA RICKMAN, 69, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018, at the Hillcrest Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio. Delores was born on January 10, 1949, in Huntington, W.Va., to the late Willard and Ruby Janice Fry Rickman. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 13, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington. Burial will follow in Dock's Creek Cemetery, Kenova, W.Va. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Timothy Rickman. TERESA ANN FRYE, 44, of Huntington, passed away April 8, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Jeff Lykins. Burial will be in Bowen Cemetery. She was born May 24, 1973, in Huntington, a daughter of Audalene Mays Starr of South Point, Ohio, and the late Audie Adkins. She is also survived by her daughters, Savanna Messer of Genoa, W.Va., Jessie Burd and Andrea Childers of Huntington; brother, Audie Duane Adkins of South Point, Ohio; grandchildren, Emily Nicole Nelson, Ryan Allen Brooks, Joseph Duane Lawrence, Riley Faith Messer and Waylon Lyle Messer. ESTA LEE REED, 85, of Wayne, W.Va., widow of William Cecil Reed, went to be with her Lord, Monday, April 9, 2018. She was born September 28, 1932, in Lincoln County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Lindsey and Ida Workman. Her sister, Hercie Marie Maynard, and her brother, Clevis Workman, also preceded her in death. She retired from Kmart, having been a set-up person helping to open new stores. Esta was a member of the Little Harts Creek Baptist Church; she enjoyed sewing and loved life to the fullest. Survivors include a nephew, who she considered a son, Donald Gene Maynard and his wife Sherry Maynard of Wayne; a brother-in-law, Donald Maynard of Wayne; several nieces and nephews, including Sandy Maynard, Cherry Stephens and husband Bill Stephens of Wayne and Patricia Frye of Harts; a special great-niece, Tiffany Brunty; and special friends Mary Sue Watts and Barbara Napier. Funeral services will be conducted at noon, Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Chapman's Mortuary with Elder Charlie Paulsen officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. BETTY MARIE ADKINS DOBSON, 67, of Genoa, W.Va., formerly of Logan, W.Va., passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at her residence. She was born September 8, 1950 in Logan, WV, a daughter of the late Fred Adkins, Jr. and Martha Chambers Adkins. Also preceding her in death were two great-grandsons, Leo and Roy Steele and a brother, Wayne Adkins. Betty had a huge heart that loved many people including her A fur babies. She loved life and enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends. Survivors include her husband of 30 years, James David Dobson; three daughters, Marie Myers and husband, Bill, Melissa Matthews and husband, Troy, Wanda Harvey and husband, Rick; two sons, Kessle Adkins and his life companion, September Copley, Marshall Adkins and his life companion, Wilma Tucker; two sisters, Linda Perry and husband, Bill, Martha "Chubby" Toler and husband, Roy; four brothers, Rush Adkins and wife, Rosemary, William "PeeWee" Adkins, Billy Jo Adkins and wife, Wanda, Tommy Adkins and wife Leena Mae; twelve cherished grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren that she dearly loved. NORA ANN THORNBURG, 78, of Huntington, W.Va., wife of Terry Thornburg, the love of her life and her soul mate, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. She was a caring, loving wife, mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 13, 2018, at 1 p.m. at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Greg Lucas. Burial will follow at Golden Oaks Cemetery, Ashland, Ky. Nora graduated from Vinson High School with the Class of 1957 and attended Marshall University. She began working for her father at a young age at Chandler's Plywood Products and continued working there, becoming a part-owner until her retirement. During her retirement she enjoyed her winters in Fort Pierce, Florida, with a host of wonderful friends and visits from family. Fort Pierce is where she attended Lakewood Park Methodist Church; in Huntington she was a former member and elder of the Spring Valley Presbyterian Church. Nora was born on June 13, 1939, in Ashland, Ky., the daughter of the late Denvil and Louise Walters Chandler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Adam Joseph Hayton. Additional survivors include her three daughters, Angela (Gary) Frye, Tracy (Rich) Hayton and Kim (Greg) Lucas; grandchildren, Britt (Alyssa) Frye, Nikki (Corey) Steffy, Sarah (Tanner) Sparling, Sean Hayton, Jacob Lucas, Noah Lucas, Aaron Lucas and Nora Hope Lucas; great-grandchildren, Raelyn and Wyatt Steffy and Camilla Sparling; two sisters, Mary Jo (Dick) Thompson, Peggy (Raymond) Pollard; two brothers, Henry (Kathy) Chandler, Denny (Zee) Chandler. Many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and a special friend, Bernice Reed, survive her as well. Nora will be remembered in the hearts of those she loved best, for her devotion to her family, whom she gathered for large Sunday dinners and holiday meals. In her final years, she found strength and peace through spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends may call from noon until service time Friday at the Reger Funeral Home. STEVEN TODD BLANTON, 51, of Kenova, W.Va., died Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the Kenova Church of Christ, by Minister Chris Stevens. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Wayne, W.Va. He was born August 10, 1966, in Columbus, Ohio, a son of Virginia Cyrus Scott and the late Kendrick Blanton. Steven was an employee of Marshall University food court and was a member of the Kenova Church of Christ. Also preceding him in death was his stepfather, Deris Scott. GENE McGLONE, 80, of Kenova, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va. Gene was born May 26, 1937, in Kenova, a son of the late Earl T. and Elva Salmons McGlone. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his firstborn grandson, who left us way too soon, Jason McGlone; two brothers, his twin Glen, and Willard McGlone; and one sister, Eula Faye Fry. Gene was a graduate of C-K High School, Class of 1956. He retired from Turnpike Ford after many years of service. He was a member of the Ceredo Church of Christ. Gene was an avid golfer and hunter and enjoyed being outside. He was honorably discharged from the National Guard after eight years of service. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Helen "Speck" Lyons McGlone; three daughters, Anna Gene McGlone Marsh of Kenova, Teresa (James) Booth of Huntington and Kelly (Guy) Marcum of Kenova; seven grandchildren, Arinn, Aimee, Jolynn, Justin, Jenny, Zachary and Chanelle; 11 great-grandchildren, Trey, Cade, Ella, Aubree, Millie, Macie, Dean, Maggie, Hadley, Demi and Abigail; a son-in-law, Stanley Marsh of Wadesboro, N.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. ETHEL MEADE CURNUTTE, 99, of Bridgeton, New Jersey, died Wednesday morning, April 11, 2018, peacefully at home surrounded by her family. The wife of the late James Curnutte, who passed away in 1985, Ethel was born in Radnor, Wayne County, W.Va., on August 13, 1918, and was the daughter of the late McKinley "Mac" Meade and the late Wilda Meade (nee Potter). She is survived by her seven grandchildren, James Marguglio Sr. (Beverly), Theresa Marguglio, Thomas Marguglio Sr. (Barbara), Tracy Marguglio, Bryan Curnutte (Cindy), Kevin Curnutte and Jennifer Curnutte; eight great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Howard "Dallas" Meade of Mesa, Ariz.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her two children, Maurice Curnutte (Shirley) and Ramona Marguglio (Thomas); siblings, Gary Meade, Dexter "Deck" Meade, Russell "Duff" Meade, Cleo Hughes, Juanita Figgers, Joanne Cooper and Lutie Switzer; father-in-law, Francis Marion Curnutte; and mother-in-law, Cynthia Napier. MYRA "GIGI" HURLEY, 74, of Kenova, loving widow of Joe Hurley and mother of daughters Sharlee (Brian) Hatten and Lee Anna (David) McGlone, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018, comfortably in her home. She will forever be remembered for her willingness to help others, her beautiful smile and red hair. She was a counselor and confidant to some and best friend to many. PASTOR CHARLES MADISON CRANK, 71, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and child of God, went to be with his Lord on Monday, April 16, 2018. He was born November 16, 1946, in Williamson, W.Va., a son of the late Charles Allen and Lois Morrison Crank. Charles graduated from C-K High School and was a lifelong, self-employed carpenter. He was also a preacher/teacher for most of his life and was a guest pastor in many churches. Most recently he had been the pastor at Eastview Baptist Church in Huntington, W.Va. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ricky McKinney. DON MICHAEL PERDUE, 47, of Huntington, beloved husband, father and son, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 19, 2018. Don was born August 30, 1970, to Harold and Jaqueline Perdue. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Mackey and Patty Akley, Jack Miller and Orville and Louise Windle. He loved fishing, music and the Green Bay Packers. He was a wonderful man of God with a true servant's heart who touched everyone who knew him. PHILIP PERRY, 71, of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 22, 2018. He was born February 14, 1947, at Genoa, West Virginia, the only child of the late Harry and Jewell Mae Perry. His wife, Linda Gail Perry, also preceded him in death. Philip was formerly the Wayne Chief of Police. He was also retired from INCO Alloys, a greeter at the Wayne Wal-Mart, and a member of the Wayne Church of Christ. He leaves behind two sons, Gregory Perry and his wife Connie of Huntington, W.Va., and Robert Perry of Kenova, W.Va.; grandchildren Brooke Perry, Logan Perry, Lauryn Perry, Kaylin Perry, Josh Perry, and "hand-picked" grandsons Brad Koeppen and Adam Evicks. BEULAH M. REYNOLDS, of Huntington, West Virginia, went to heaven on April 23, 2018, at Diversicare in Council Grove, Kansas. She was born to Byron and Bertha Smith Donahoe on February 28, 1920, in Logan County, West Virginia. She was married to Joe D. Reynolds on October 5, 1940. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Burl, Blanche, Bernice, Dortha Lee, Freida, Murl, Carl, Marjorie, Byron Jr. and Curtis; a granddaughter, Jerri Leigh Reynolds; and daughter-in-law, Janice Reynolds. She is survived by her three children, Larry B. Reynolds Sr. of Chester, Virginia, Patty Claypool and her husband Dick of White City, Kansas, and Michael B. Reynolds and his wife Diana of Davidson, North Carolina; seven grand-children, 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Alta Ball of Lake Wales, Florida, and Gay Quinn of Zebulon, N.C. Though small, her home was always open to anyone who came to visit. It was a welcome place, especially for a good country breakfast. She hosted five-day clubs with Child Evangelism Fellowship in her home for 25 years. No child left without hearing the love of Jesus and full of cupcakes and ice cream. She was very proud that she finished high school and went on to work at Owens-Illinois Glass factory for 36 years. She retired in 1985. She loved to sing and read poetry, and she blessed every life that she touched, even to the end of this life. Earth's loss is Heaven's gain. A service will be conducted at Reger Funeral Home in Huntington, West Virginia, on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at noon, with a visitation at 11 a.m. prior to the service. Gail was born November 26, 1931, in Kenova, West Virginia, to the late Harry Lee and Tilda Osburn Hatten. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, John J Billups, and brothers and sisters-in-law, William Hatten (Garnet) and James Hatten (Peggy). Gail had a great love for the town of Ceredo and its people where she was a resident during most of her adult life. A graduate of Buffalo High School in 1949, she furthered her education at St. Mary's School of Nursing becoming a registered nurse. After working at Cabell Huntington Hospital and area nursing homes, she is most remembered for her time spent as the town nurse of Ceredo, West Virginia. She was a selfless individual who tirelessly served her friends and neighbors at any time she was called upon, and received WSAZ's Hometown Hero Award and also the American Legion Post 93's Outstanding Citizen Award for 1984. She loved and faithfully served the Lord at First Baptist Church of Ceredo, as a choir member, Sunday School teacher, drama director and volunteer wherever needed. When spending her summers in the country, she greatly enjoyed her time of fellowship with the Big Hurricane Creek Baptist Church congregation. As a vibrant and active member of the community, she enjoyed quilting and needlework, time spent at the Westmoreland Senior Center and years of participation in the Ceredo-Kenova Alumni Band. He was born September 29, 1946 in Kiahsville, WV, a son of Imogene Lambert Maynard Browning of Wayne, and the late Gene Maynard. Harry was a heavy equipment operator and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was born July 14, 1932, in Huntington, a son of the late Ulysses Grant and Fair Lillie Jeffrey Parsons. He was also preceded in death by a son, Rick Lee Parsons; four brothers, his twin Otis Parsons, Lonnie Parsons, Lacy Parsons and Freeland Parsons; and two sisters, Jewell Sullivan and Lottie Lockhart. He was a truck driver for J&L Equipment and was a member since 1949 of the former Bowen Methodist Church. He played the guitar and sang in several churches. DONALD L. McDOWELL, 89, of Huntington, W.Va., entered into Heaven on Sunday, April 29, 2018. He was born on July 5, 1928, in Huntington, to the late Jay and Anna Merle Carter McDowell, and was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Ann Gibson. Don graduated from Huntington East Trade School in 1946, then served in the military during the Korean War. He began a career with IBM and retired after 36 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ceredo, a devout Christian who shared his faith with others by teaching Sunday School, serving as a deacon and by living a Christian life so that others could see Christ. Don and his wife, Dorothy, were involved for many years in the Shoe Ministry, which provided shoes for children in Wayne County. Don enjoyed photography, especially his collection of slides from his many trips to the Holy Land. His knowledge of the Bible came to life when he would share his photos; on one of his trips, he was baptized in the Jordan River. He also loved visiting the Outer Banks, N.C., where he enjoyed the pleasures of surf fishing with family and friends. Don always had stories and anecdotes he loved to share with others that would bring smiles to their faces. Don is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Ellen Hutchison McDowell; sister, Juanita Heiner; and brothers, Jerry and Larry (Barbara). He is also survived by two daughters, Marsha (David) Blain and Lea Ellen Burton; three grandchildren, Courtney (Tony) Green, Andrew (Laura) Blain and Benjamin Burton; six great-grandchildren, Reagan, Lucas and Logan Green and Levi, Luke and Landon Blain. He was so proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his feline friend, Deuce.
