The present Court House of Wayne County. Built about 1922-1923, after the burning of the prior court house in 1921.

An early photograph of the village of East Lynn. The community was first known as Twin Creek. Later, with the coming of the Adkins family building a Grist Mill near the mouth of Big Lynn Creek, it became known as Adkins Mill.

The old steel bridge between Fort Gay, WV and Louisa, KY. This bridge was built in 1906 as a toll bridge. It has since been replaced with a modern bridge. Claimed to be the only bridge which spanned two rivers and connected two towns in two states.

We have become involved with the old cemetery at the North end of the football field at Fort Gay High School. A new Elementary School is planned there. We are trying to determine who is buried there. Click on FGHS Cemetery in the site menu, in the frame to the left.
